Lorena Canals honored with best Artisanal Process Award
“I dedicate this award to our artisans in India who know how to take what’s in my head and transform it into the perfect product. “
Expectation, friendly faces and big personalities from the interior design and decor industry are just some of the things Lorena remembers best from last Thursday. That, and the determination to put into words her gratitude towards every single craftsman and artisan who has ever helped bring Lorena Canals’ designs to life.

Today at the office, still overwhelmed by her emotions, Lorena shares with us all the details from last week’s Interiores Awards Ceremony, organized and hosted by the reputable Spanish magazine last Thursday, 18th of October, while trying to find the best place in the office to display the award for all to see.
The ceremony, which Lorena attended with her husband and daughters, took place in the Westin Palace Hotel in Madrid and welcomed the most renowned architects and interior designers on the International scene.
Now in its fourth year, this year’s ceremony celebrated the intrinsic value of handmade pieces and artisanal design, and found Lorena Canals’ work in both her factories in India deserving of the award for best artisanal process.
Other artists, such as Interior designer Lázaro Rosa – Violán, Fundación Loewe, and Yukiko Kitahara were also awarded for their work over the past year.
Filled with gratitude for Interiores magazine for the award, our business partners, and our customers, without whom – she says – none of this would possible, Lorena collected the award which she is planning on taking to India.
During her speech, the designer expressed her gratitude to both teams and collaborators in New York and Barcelona, her extremely supportive family, who were there to celebrate this milestone in her career, and every artisan who has contributed their time, effort and skilled hands to this dream called ‘Lorena Canals’.
