Really love this unique and beautifully designed book. Babe loves it. The only reason for 1 star subtracted was it arrived smelling heavily of fragrance which is an issue for us (no scent household). I had to wash and dry in the sun several times to remove the strong scent. Baby products should arrive unscented, always. :-/
I chose this brand for the natural fibers but am so happy with everything about it! I love how soft and cozy this rug is. My son loves the slightly different textures to play with. And the colors are perfect, still whimsical but grounding. This could be a great rug for a living room in a larger size but works perfectly for our toddlers bedroom. We will definitely be purchasing from Lorena Canals in the future.
I have Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS) and this rug was meant to be chemical free. It is a beautiful, well made rug and it feels wonderful under foot but I had to air it outside for three weeks until I could safely take it inside because it was shipped with a SCENTED silica envelope for moisture control. I have communicated with Lorena Canals about this and happy about them reviewing the practice of shipping with scented silica envelopes, but it is not confirmed protocol yet so if you are fragrance sensitive, please double check with them that they ship your rug without fragrance to protect your health and that of your children or pets. I have not washed it yet so I have no opinion yet on how it handles a washing machine.

Overall I like the rug, but was a little confused that a few of the pictures show two rugs (2 of the color options) side by side. So just note that purchasing just this rug won’t achieve that look.
I have returned the item and still haven’t received a refund as I was told I would.
