A Serengeti sunset on a rug! A trip to East Africa inspired Lorena to create a whole collection of washable wool rugs dedicated to this part of the continent and the Maasai people. 'Naranguru' means 'sunset' in Swahili, and this rug's design reflects the reddish skies seen through the acacia trees on the Serengeti planes. It features intricate handcrafted details and an embroidered phrase on the edging that reads 'The place where the land never ends' as a clear description of this infinite, mesmerizing landscape. Each washable wool rug comes packed in a cotton tote bag that can be used for storage and includes a complimentary anti-slip underlay to fit under the rug and keep it in place.

A Lorena Canals rug is for life, to make it last longer, we recommend that you follow these wash and care tips:

  • Made with natural fibers. This may cause slight shedding for a while, especially after the first washes. This process will decrease over time, as the rug gets vacuumed (always on low to moderate suction mode).
  • Folding wrinkles will gradually smooth after laying the rug on the floor allowing for the fibers to naturally adapt. However, you can put the rug in the dryer to speed the process before first-time use.
  • Suitable for underfloor heating.
