Touched by seeing children whose future is determined by their family's economic circumstances, Lorena Canals decided to offer her own social support by giving them access to education. This is how the Sakûla Project was born, a nursery school in the north of India where street children can receive food and education. There are currently 120 children attending the school and counting.

Love this rug. It is very soft and I feel great about the material being eco friendly and nontoxic for my baby and kids. It does move around, but works great to stay in place with a small rug pad underneath. My daughter loves this rug and has talked about how cute she thinks it is.

The rug arrived in excellent shape. I washed and fluffed it in the drier and then let it finish drying naturally. I cut a new rug pad to fit and it is all in place! It's very cute and just the right size. I love the feel and easy care of a cotton rug! Thank you for making such wonderful rugs!
