• Machine-washable at home: If sauce, wine, coffee or any other mess ends up on the rug, there's no need for harsh products or outside cleaning services. Just pick up the rug and wash it in your machine, following the piece's capacity and care instructions.
• Safe fibres and dyes: We hand-weave our rugs using natural fibres, recycled cotton and non-toxic dyes. This guarantees a completely safe environment for kids and keeps chemical components away from a space as sensitive as the dining table.

Choose a dining rug that lets chairs move freely

For a rug to work well under the dining table, the surface needs to let chair legs move smoothly. An overly long pile can cause trips or snags when sitting down and getting up.

We design our dining rugs with flat weaves, subtle textures or a dense short pile. This kind of finish gives the density needed for chairs to slide without snagging, and stops food debris from getting trapped in the fibres, making daily vacuuming easier. The natural strength of handcrafted cotton and wool also stops constant chair movement from leaving permanent marks or warping the weave.

How to choose the ideal size for your dining table

Getting the proportions right means your dining room looks balanced and works comfortably. The most common mistake is choosing a rug that only covers the table itself, so the back legs of the chairs catch on the rug's edge when pushed back.

To work out the size you need, measure your dining table and add a margin of between 60 and 90 cm on each side. That way, the chairs will stay on the rug's soft surface even while people are sitting down.

• Tables for 4 to 6 people: we offer rectangular sizes like 140 x 200 cm or 170 x 240 cm, ideal for framing the whole setup with ease. Handmade with light natural fibres, moving them and popping them in the washing machine is really simple as part of your cleaning routine.
• Tables for 8 or more: we offer generous sizes like 200 x 300 cm, plus even larger options in certain cotton and wool designs. These sizes make sure the whole setup looks integrated, and even at this scale, still keep the advantage of being machine-washable.
• Round tables: if your table is circular, we offer round rugs in diameters from Ø 120 cm or Ø 180 cm up to larger options of Ø 240 cm, Ø 250 cm or Ø 300 cm. This range of sizes lets you keep the room symmetrical and leaves an even border around the chairs.
