Touched by seeing children whose future is determined by their family's economic circumstances, Lorena Canals decided to offer her own social support by giving them access to education. This is how the Sakûla Project was born, a nursery school in the north of India where street children can receive food and education. There are currently 120 children attending the school and counting.

This is my second Lorena canals rug and I’m just as in love as I was with the first! After the initial wash the rug is so beautiful and plush, it looks amazing in my nursery. Rug is lovely and a great addition to an alcove off our livingroom where our two-year-old grandson plays when he visits. I love the idea that it is washable if he spills something, yet it blends so well with our multicolored abstract livingroom area rug.
