DESCRIPTION

No two rugs are alike. Made from upcycled cotton canvas in Soil Brown, each panel is cut and stitched by hand, embracing natural irregularities, asymmetrical lines and tonal shifts; not flaws, but signs of true craftsmanship. Very light, easy to fold and simple to move around. The stonewash finish is unique in every rug, so photos are only a guide. Stains, marks and imperfections are normal and part of what makes each design different and unique from our other collections.

With a soft, lived-in finish, visible seams, and hand-embroidered details in durable Tencel yarn—including a “coffee bean” stitch and the signature “L”—this rug celebrates conscious design and genuine artistry.

WASHING & CARE INSTRUCTIONS
  • Wash separatetly at 30º maximum
  • Avoid using cleaning robots or vacuums with beater bars to prevent damaging the pile.
  • Avoid continuous exposure to sun
  • Tumble dry at low temperature. Do not leave it in the washer
  • If you find a long thread cut it with scissors. Never pull it
  • Do no use bleach of fabric softeners
  • Use a low-powered vacuum cleaner regulary to clean and counteract shedding.

Touched by seeing children whose future is determined by their family's economic circumstances, Lorena Canals decided to offer her own social support by giving them access to education. This is how the Sakûla Project was born, a nursery school in the north of India where street children can receive food and education. There are currently 120 children attending the school and counting.
